This book continues from where Love Realized finished ,,, It is recommend to read this after reading the first just so that you get an idea of the story and characters!! ,,, Allie is one feisty little mama ;)

 

Love and loss are a big focus for this book ,,, How do you make yourself whole after your life is shattered into a million pieces?

How can one night change a world forever? ,,, Well that is what Allie found out, the day a knock on her door changed her life and turned it up-side down ,,, riddled with guilt and wanting to punish herself

How do you deal with having to watch your love gradually lose their fight from such an awful illness, eating away at them ,,, seeing the pain, the suffering and each moment that passes knowing that your losing more of that person and they are closer to their death? Mike had his love taken away from him left with a child to care for knowing that he had to be strong if not for himself but for his son

How does someone deal with this type of pain? How do they know if it's ok to move on? Will it ever be ok?

Not being able to deal with her loss, Allie isn’t living her life after that dreaded night, but really she is only existing, shutting herself off from those closest to her and never opening up ,,, she is no longer Allie, she is a mere shell of who she was ,,, lost in her own guilt and grief

Allie needs someone who is gonna knock down that wall she has put up around her heart ,,, but no one knows how she feels ,,, how could they? None of them have experienced a loss like she has ,,, and then comes along Mike ,,,, someone that is willing to fight for her, someone that could break down those walls she has put up ,,,,,,, someone that knows the kind of loss that she does!!!

Mike an Allie met through a mutual friend, Gillian ,,, he thought Allie was so beautiful ,,, he felt a connection between them ,,, He knew that he wanted to get to know Allie better but her attitude towards him was very guarded and he knew that it would take ALOT to get through to her ,,, Mike has put himself in her life, whether she likes it or not ,,, He can't be pushed away that easy ,,, He needs to tread carefully around Allie, not wanting to freak her out and cause her to run ,,, Persistence was key!!!!!

Allie is attracted to Mike but she’s still dealing with her feelings over Marc's death ,,, feeling guilty for feeling again she knew she couldn't let him in ,,, he is so persistent ,,, he could reach out to her knowing just when she needed him ,,, her guard was down and he took his chance ,,,, she knows how to run and the fear is paramount what will she do??

Loosing someone is never easy, the pain just becomes different, it changes everyday ,,, But its never easy!!!

Allie's everyday routine is to avoid him at all costs ,,, she's in protect mode, protecting her heart ,,, She didn't spend the last 5 years building this wall to have him tear it down(and her panties) with his sexy smile ,,, but hell if he isn’t persistent, knowing what he wants and not willing to give up

 

This story is very loving ,,, But you may well cry full of raw emotions and heart rendering subjects ,,, no matter if your prepared or if someone is taken from you in the blink of an eye, losing someone is still losing someone ,,,  ‘Whys’ and ‘Hows’ are irrelevant

This book comes recommended BUT don't say you weren’t warned when you get all sniffly :) ,,, just so you know ,,, there’s more to come from this series J
