Beck is the third in the Corps Security Series ,,, this series started off great and it just keeps on getting better and better with each book :)
Review:
Man this is one HELL of a series ,,, If you loved Axel,
loved Cage and then omg you’ll totally loved BECK :)
Do you want a good book? Do you want some amazing
characters?? Do you wanna read about some red blooded alpha males willing to do
anything to protect their family??? Do you like angst? Some drama? Hot sex
scenes? Good times and bad times? And one hell of a roller coaster ride??? Then
let me tell you this is without doubt a book for you
This book is Beck and Dees story ,,, we already know these
two from the previous two books and we know about the ups and downs in their
relationship ,,, well at least we think we do ,,, this book sheds some serious
light over the pair of them from past present and we roll into future through
the book
This book starts off pretty much around the time that Cage's
story wraps up. But it goes back to the night in the pub where Lizzy see's Axel
for the first time in years. Just as there life is changing so Is Dee's and
Becks as that's that first time they meet. The attraction to each other is
straight away. You could cut threw the sexual tension with a knife its that
strong. But no matter how much Dee wants him it can only ever be sex to her.
She's had to much hurt in her life to let a man into her heart. Dee has some
serious issues. But cab you blame her? Her childhood was horrific, her parents
are EVIL! Lets just put it this way they won't be winning any parent of the
year awards any time soon.
So she wants sex not a relationship. But Beck isn't gonna
take that. He wants her heart, body and soul. And he's willing to wait as long
as he has to for her to realize that. And so there dance begins. One step
forward and two steps back. Every time he knocks one of her walls down she
builds to more back up. So she tries to much him away. But even bringing men
around when she knows he'll see or find out doesn't do anything. Beck isn't
going anywhere no matter what she does. Because he can see what everyone else
has been so blind too. He sees her crumbling. And the constant sadness behind
her eyes that never leaves her in all the time he has known her. No matter what
mask of smiles she wears for everyone else she can't fool him.
Beck is the kind of guy that only exists in a dream ,,, he
is hot, he is strong, he protects ,,, but most of all he has faith in his heart
he follows what he knows is the truth he isn't easily pushed away and doesn't
give up at the first hurdle ,,, he has the strength to get Dee through some
pretty tough and dark times ,,,, he can see her for who she is even if she is
trying desperately to hide it from everyone
Dee is a strong character ,,, well this is what we are led
to believe ,,, when you get to know her you'll see that there are some serious
demons that she is dealing with ,,, you heart will break for her ,,, always
pushing never wanting to look weak ,,, there is only so much one person can
take in life and to be fair Dee has more than her fair share ,,,,
Poor Dee is falling apart. Literally crumbling day by day. Ringing
Beck in the dead of night crying. And more nights then she should finding solace
in his body and running before he can wake. People would be better off without
her.......Yeah but with Beck around he's not gonna let that happen.
SO in the middle of all of this dance or messed up
relationship everyone thinks they have some stuff starts going down in Dee's
job. Not wanting to get Beck involved she asks Maddox to help her out by
looking into things. But this was so much bigger then she thought and ends up
leaving her fighting for her life.
Poor Beck is heartbroken. Seen someone so strong crumble like that will have you crying. Seriously have tissues ready! He never once leaves her side. No matter how much he's told by his friends. When Dee finally comes around she really sees it. She has to try and open herself up. She needs to try harder to let Beck in. But in order to do that she has to tell him everything. From her childhood to where she is now. And my god is it some story :(

Dee needs to release her demons in order to move forward and
this can only come by letting them free ,,, talking about them and opening up
to those closest to her ,,, how is that going to work when nobody even notices
anything is wrong??
Dee does it though. She opens up and finally lets love in.
Things can only get better from here right? WRONG! Every relationship has speed
bumps along the way. Only in Dee and Becks like its MOUNTAINS! Don't forget the
thing going down in her job isn't over.......
Life sucks and this book will deal with a whole heap of different
things that will confirm that statement but be assured this book isn't all bad
there are some good things too
This book is so beautifully written certain scenes in
particular ,,,, I love reading about Sway coz he is totally awesome and I think
every girl needs a sway in their life ,,, and definitely some gold glitter ,,,
he is able to brings smile to some of the saddest faces and I see him as being
the human form of marmite ,,, you will either love him or hate him and man does
everyone love this guy ;) ,,, although he isn't a main character I can assure
you that he will always be something you'll remember ,,, even for something so
small will always be the thing you'll take from these books ,,,, especially
from this one :)
This book comes highly recommended ,,, this whole series does ,,, check them out if you haven't already ,,, Harper Sloan is awesome and so talented ,,,, we’re grateful for the little voices that talk to her and developed these characters ,,, they are a great addition to anyone's collection

But I can tell you something, what I can see in the future
with this book is a while lot of 5 star reviews for Harper. You don't have to
be Mystic Meg to see that. This books talks for itself :) <3
